main strands The history of Hainault Farm, Fairlop,
and RNAS Chingford airfields from 1914 to 1919, with many
references to sister aerodromes at Hornchurch (Suttons Farm),
Joyce Green, and Rochford. The stories of individual airmen
who either flew from these airfields (and the subsequent adventures)
or who came from the Ilford area.
