In the 1920 and 1930s Chelmsford was a town
where a boy could grow up observing the local characters,
shops, tradesmen, markets, schools, churches, newspapers,
buses and trains... Luckily, Ted Adams has retained the kaleidoscope
of yesterday’s Chelmsford and recalls it for the benefit
of today’s young and old Chelmsfordians.
