In 1914 Holmes investigates the death of
a man apparently the victim of a flock of birds, but is diverted
by the escape of a spy from the Tower of London. The ensuing
chase takes him and Watson to the trenches of the Great War
and, eventually, to the Kaiser’s Court, before escaping
by biplane. At an Albert Hall concert the solution to the
